David is collecting straw, grass and twigs for the compost

Cleaning the beds means, we get a lot of natural material from wild plants. we used it to cover the soil (if there are not so many seeds in it. The other material we use for perfect layers (waste, dry material, waste, dry material…) in the compost.

cauliflower-second-generation
cauliflower from last year and new plants coming up

In 2015/16 we tried in two different beds cauliflower and col. Now its time to rescue the new generation and try it in another bed.

The rotten wood we placed in the center to guard some water if it rains again, and it is a nice trap for snails (you could collect some every day downside). The rest of this wood will disappear in the soil step by step.
