The German unit is happy to present several new members in our unit!
Our poultry community consists of 20 hens, four cocks, two ducks…
…and four quails:
They are happy to roam in our garden (… and save us the lawn-mower)
At the moment we have 15 to 20 chicken eggs per day and 3 to 4 quail eggs
Karen, Jens, Anastasia, Corinna und Antje built an outdoor rain shelter – sometimes better for German weather.
The community grows… on May 28 and 29, nine chicks hatched out of their eggs. On these photos, they are 4 days old and already quite active. Mother hen is relaxed, but takes good care of them:
