On the left side you see an original piece of land in one edge of the garden. Without any human intervention this soil is nearly dead. It didn’t change its look in the last 3 years. We use this earth to cover the waste in the dry toilets.

We started terra preta production with charcoal, animal manure, straw, sawdust, foliage, wood remnants and barren earth from the edge of the garden area in 2014/15.

We harvest various fruits in 2015/16 (like tomato, paprika, salad, coriander). Now we start to prepare the bed for the next season.
